Historic Columbia Answer

Just one more reason to visit Columbia and get to know our wonderful city.

The Hale-Elmore-Seibels House or Seibels House is a historic building located in Columbia, South Carolina.[2][3] Records of the exact year of its construction were destroyed in 1865 during the burning of the city by Union soldiers serving under General William Tecumseh Sherman. The best guess for the date of construction stems from a purported "1796" carved into a beam in the basement. Much of the early history of the house is uncertain, but it is thought to be the oldest building in Columbia.[4]
Located at 1601 Richland Street, the house is the headquarters of the Historic Columbia Foundation, and is open to the public as a museum. Its extensive restored garden serves as the backdrop for wedding receptions and other events.    Wikipedia.

30 under 30

Bradley Allen, ABR, CRS, got into real estate to help people—and to help change the way the business is done. Allen, 29, wanted his team’s listings to stand out, so he became one of the few practitioners to produce his own 360-degree virtual tours, In addition, “every house we list gets a pre-home inspection, two hours with a stager, and [time with] an appraiser to measure and draw the house.” Allen puts his money where his mouth is when it comes to ethics. When he found out the Greater Columbia Association of REALTORS® was struggling to pay instructors to teach the NAR Ethics course, he enlisted colleagues to become certified and teach it at no cost.
